Chairmen Neal and DeFazio Announce Members’ Day Hearings

Ways & Means Committee and Transportation & Infrastructure Committee will hold hearings to hear Members’ priorities on infrastructure

SPRINGFIELD, MA-- House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) and House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Peter DeFazio (D-OR) announced today a series of Members’ Day Hearings. The Committees welcome Member testimony on legislation within each Committee’s jurisdiction and specifically encourages testimony regarding infrastructure proposals.

“Modernizing our country’s infrastructure will be a major undertaking, and if crafted correctly, this package will positively impact every American, from Massachusetts to Oregon, and everywhere in between,” said Neal and DeFazio. “We are holding these hearings as opportunities for members, from both sides of the aisle, to share their legislative priorities that could be included in a forthcoming package. We are working to put this pandemic behind us by making long overdue infrastructure investments while creating good-paying jobs that will reinvigorate our economy, but we can’t do it without Member input.”
