Chairs DeFazio, Titus Announce Hearing on Risk to General Services Administration Buildings, Including New Space Trends Post-COVID-19

Washington, DC - Today, Chair of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Peter DeFazio (D-OR) and Chair of the Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management Dina Titus (D-NV) announced a hearing titled, “Capital Investment Program: Identifying Risk to GSA Facilities.” 

At the hearing, members will hear from the General Services Administration’s Public Buildings Commissioner regarding risks to GSA facilities including chronic underfunding, the impacts of climate change and extreme weather events, and new space needs following telework changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Members will appear by videoconference or in person in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.
