Washington, D.C. – For your planning purposes, Chair of the Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment Grace F. Napolitano (D-CA) and Vice-Chair Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D-FL) announced the Subcommittee will hold a field roundtable in Founders Park, Islamorada, Florida, on Saturday, October 19, 2019 titled “America’s Water Resources Infrastructure: Concepts for the Next Water Resources Development Act.” Discussion will focus on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ water infrastructure projects.
The purpose of this roundtable is to define the water challenges states and communities face and to determine possible solutions to address America’s infrastructure needs. Participants will include representatives from several public and private stakeholder groups with an interest in water resources infrastructure.
After the roundtable, members will tour the Florida Everglades. Below is the full schedule of Saturday’s tour and field roundtable, along with roundtable participants. All times, locations, and participants are subject to change. In addition to Chair Napolitano and Vice-Chair Mucarsel-Powell, Rep. Frederica S. Wilson (D-FL) is expected to join the roundtable.
