DeFazio Announces Changes to the Democratic Leadership and Membership of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure
Washington, D.C. -- Today, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Peter DeFazio (D-OR) announced changes to the Democratic Leadership and membership of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
The Democratic Caucus of the Committee unanimously elected Representative Dina Titus (D-NV) to serve as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management. She replaces Representative Hank Johnson, Jr. (D-GA), who was elected to serve as Ranking Member of a subcommittee of the Committee on the Judiciary.
The Democratic Caucus also welcomed Delegate Stacey E. Plaskett (D-VI) to the Committee. The Committee unanimously elected Ms. Plaskett to serve on the Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management and the Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation. She fills a vacancy created on the Committee after Representative Jerry Nadler (D-NY) resigned from the Committee to serve as Ranking Member of the Committee on the Judiciary.
Reflecting these and other changes, the Democratic Subcommittee membership is below.
