EVERETT, WA— Today, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Rick Larsen (D-WA) issued the following statement after the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announced $703 million for six projects through the new Rail Vehicle Replacement Program. With this funding, transit agencies will be able to replace rail cars, improving reliability and safety.
“Communities around the country need modern, upgraded infrastructure and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is delivering,” Ranking Member Larsen said. “The $703 million announced today will help transit agencies invest in new rail cars that will be more reliable, safe and accessible for families and commuters trying to get where they need to go.”
