Washington, DC— Today, House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-WA) applauded the addition of Representative Chris Deluzio (D-PA) to the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
“As a veteran, voting rights advocate, and union organizer, Representative Chris Deluzio will bring both vision and fight to the T&I Committee to help strengthen transportation safety and support transportation workers,” Ranking Member Larsen said. “Last year, he acted swiftly to craft bipartisan rail safety legislation when the Norfolk Southern derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, devasted his community. He will continue to be a steadfast advocate for rail safety, protecting Pennsylvanians and communities across the country, as well as work to make America’s infrastructure cleaner, greener, safer, and more accessible.”
“I want to thank Leader Jeffries and Ranking Member Larsen for the opportunity to serve on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee,” Representative Chris Deluzio said. “Membership on this committee provides more opportunities to fight for rail safety and many other major Western PA priorities including better passenger rail, more resilient infrastructure including water and flood management systems, as well as our airports, highways, bridges, public transit, locks and dams, and more. I am ready to get to work!”
