Washington, D.C.— Today Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Rick Larsen (D-WA) released the following statement after more reports that Elon Musk and the Federal Aviation Administration might cancel a $2.4 billion contract with Verizon in favor of Musk’s Starlink.
"Government employees cannot profit from their own backroom deals,” Ranking Member Larsen said. “If the FAA cancels a long-term contract with Verizon in favor of Starlink while ignoring long-established protocol, that would stink of corruption. Our Committee must get to the bottom of what the hell is going on between the FAA and Starlink. The story just keeps getting worse.
