Ranking Member Larsen Statement on Federal Highway Administration’s Greenhouse Gas Rule

Washington, D.C. –Today, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Rick Larsen (D-WA) applauded the announcement of the Biden Administration’s Greenhouse Gas Rule which will help reduce the carbon footprint of the transportation sector—currently the single largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States.
 
“American families deserve a cleaner, greener, safer and more accessible transportation system,” Ranking Member Larsen said. “Measuring and reporting the amount of greenhouse gases coming from vehicles on our roads is a key step in achieving a more sustainable transportation future.”
