Washington, D.C.— Today, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Rick Larsen (D-WA) released the following statement after the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) released the final report for its investigation into the tragic explosion at a West Reading chocolate factory that killed seven individuals and injured 10 more.
“Communities should live free from the threat of dangerous pipelines running under their streets and homes,” Ranking Member Larsen said. “The NTSB’s final report on the natural gas-fueled explosion in West Reading, Pennsylvania is an important reminder that we need to pass bipartisan pipeline safety legislation.”
