Washington, D.C.—Today, House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-WA) released the following statement in response to today’s John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Board of Trustees meeting.
“The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is a cherished American institution that will host performances and artists for generations,” Ranking Member Larsen said. “The Trump Administration’s transparent blackmail attempt and bogus claims of impending bankruptcy do not fool anyone. We should focus on repairing and restoring the Kennedy Center.”
