Washington, D.C. — Today, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Rick Larsen (D-WA) released the following statement.

“Republicans can spin and deflect as much as they want, but Americans won’t be fooled: this is a Republican shutdown fueled by the healthcare crisis of their own making,” Ranking Member Larsen said. “T&I Democrats support funding to modernize our Air Traffic Control and are ready to ensure essential transportation workers, including air traffic controllers and aviation safety technicians, get paid. We are now just waiting for Republicans to end their shutdown and lower health care costs for Americans.”
