Washington, D.C. — Today, House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-WA) released the following statement after the Trump administration released its 162-page report falsely claiming the Smithsonian fails to celebrate the nation’s history.
“The Trump administration wants a Museum of American Myth, not a Museum of American History,” Ranking Member Larsen said. "This ridiculous report from a fragile White House is not grounded in facts or history. Let’s celebrate America and learn how we can do better. Thank you to the Museum of American History for doing your job.”
