Washington, D.C. – Today, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Rick Larsen (D-WA) released the following statement following the announcement of Congressman and former Chair of the Committee Bud Shuster’s passing.
“Chairman Bud Shuster was a force on Capitol Hill for America’s transportation system. His deep understanding of policy, willingness to work across the aisle, and ambitious vision for our country’s infrastructure allowed him to notch impressive legislative accomplishments during his time at the helm of our Committee,” said Ranking Member Larsen. “The bipartisan tradition he helped create here at T&I is a legacy that continues to this day and one which I am honored to carry on. My sympathies are with Chairman Shuster’s entire family as they mourn his loss today.
