Washington, D.C.—Wednesday, May 15, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Rick Larsen (D-WA), Members of Congress, and transportation safety advocates will host a press conference during Infrastructure Week on ending traffic fatalities. In 2023, more than 44,000 people died from traffic crashes in the United States, representing a public safety epidemic. Members of Congress will join family members of victims to call for more investments, building on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, to make the nation’s transportation system safer for all users.
