WASHINGTON, DC— Today, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Rick Larsen (D-WA) issued the following statement after the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) published their full-year FY2023 funding tables. This funding largely comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law which was passed last Congress. This funding will be distributed to states and communities in the coming weeks, and additional amounts will be awarded on a competitive basis throughout the year.
“The funding announced today by the Federal Transit Administration will put Bipartisan Infrastructure Law dollars to work delivering new transit projects, which create jobs and drive economic growth,” Ranking Member Larsen said.“This funding is critical for individuals and families who rely on public transit to get to work, attend appointments, visit with family, and get their children to school and it will promote a greener transportation sector by investing in low- and zero-carbon emission projects.”
