Ranking Member Larsen Applauds Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Funding for Highways, Bridges, and EV Charging Infrastructure

WASHINGTON, DC— Today, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Rick Larsen (D-WA) applauded the Federal Highway Administration after it announced apportionments for the Federal-aid Highway Program, Bridge Formula Program, and the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program.

“The start of the new fiscal year unlocked more than $60 billion in formula funding for states to invest in roads and bridges, including $5.3 billion dedicated to repairing crumbling bridges, $885 million for developing electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and nearly $55 billion for state priority projects that support efficient, safe, and sustainable transportation,” Ranking Member Larsen said. “The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law continues to deliver, helping communities build for generations to come, facilitating the transition to a cleaner transportation sector, and creating good paying jobs that boost the economy.”
