WASHINGTON, DC— Today, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Rick Larsen (D-WA) released the following statement after the Federal Highway Administration announced more than $5 billion in Bridge Investment Program funding for 13 projects across the country.
“Communities across the country now have the resources they need to improve the safety of their bridges while connecting communities, boosting commerce, reducing commute times and creating jobs,” Ranking Member Larsen said. “In my state of Washington, this game-changing funding advances the Interstate Bridge Replacement project to safely and efficiently connect Oregon and Washington. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law continues to create jobs and invest in cleaner, greener, safer and more accessible infrastructure for communities across the country.
