Washington, D.C.—Today, House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-WA) released the following statement after reports that Trump administration officials were instructed to remove the President’s name from the President John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts after a federal judge said the Kennedy Center’s board violated the law when it added Trump’s name to the venue.
"The courts have affirmed that the Trump administration broke the law by slapping his name on President John F. Kennedy's iconic memorial and it appears the Kennedy Center is now complying with that decision," Ranking Member Larsen said. "With this chapter now thankfully behind us, I will work to address the Kennedy Center's legitimate need for repairs."
