Washington, D.C.—Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Rick Larsen (D-WA) released the following statement after news that the Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought and the Trump administration is halting over $11 billion in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers grants across 12 states led by mostly Democratic Governors.
“Instead of halting projects that create good-paying jobs at ports and grow the economy, the Trump Administration needs to stop playing politics with infrastructure dollars, fix the Republican healthcare crisis that is skyrocketing costs for Americans and end this shutdown,” Ranking Member Larsen said.
