Washington, D.C. – Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Rick Larsen (D-WA) released the following statement after President Biden and House Republican lawmakers reached a deal on the debt limit.
“President Biden, navigating a litany of extreme Republican demands, has delivered a deal that avoids a catastrophic default and preserves our ability to build and rebuild America’s infrastructure,” Ranking Member Larsen said. “Not one cent from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s historic funding will be touched. Instead, communities will continue to invest in the roads, bridges, transit systems, railroads, ports, airports, and water infrastructure that will create good-paying jobs, boost our economy, and improve quality of life for decades to come. I will be voting yes on the Bipartisan Budget Agreement.”
